I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
