Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
